Intranasal light therapy tackles atherosclerosis and heart disease

In atherosclerosis, the insides of large blood vessels become narrowed or clogged.

According to the National Institutes of Health's webpage on diabetes complications, this, also a cause of high blood pressure, results in:

  • Chest pain, also called angina. When you have angina, you feel pain in your chest, arms, shoulders, or back. You may feel the pain more when your heart beats faster, such as when you exercise. The pain may go away when you rest. You also may sweat a lot and feel very weak. If you do not get treatment, chest pain may happen more often.
  • Heart attack. A heart attack happens when a blood vessel in or near your heart becomes blocked. Then your heart muscle can’t get enough blood. When an area of your heart muscle stops working, your heart becomes weaker. During a heart attack, you may have chest pain along with nausea, indigestion, extreme weakness, and sweating. Or you may have no symptoms at all.
  • Stroke. A stroke can happen when the blood supply to your brain is blocked. Then your brain can be damaged.
There can be several causes for atherosclerosis: genetic predisposition, aging, high LDL cholesterol, diabetes. Compensation for the narrowing of the blood vessels can be achieved through reducing the viscosity of blood to improve blood flow/circulation, and/or dilating the blood vessel walls. There is research evidence to show that the Qi-Light intranasal light therapy method can both improve blood circulation and dilate the vascular walls (through the release of nitric oxide).

Intranasal light therapy, a form of blood irradiation therapy is a new therapy that is gaining in awareness in the Western mainstream medical community but already much researched and accepted in China.
